Literature Text

My skull did lay
as empty as a shell,
as cold as your heart
and as dark as these words,
on a bed of thorns
In a garden of roses.

For here I died,
blank stares to the sky,
teeth soiled with dirt
with weeds binding my tongue,
on a bed of thorns
In a garden of roses.
Have you ever died of a broken heart and seen yourself rot at the roots of a beautiful rose bush?
